Delhi Landing in Delhi - the capital of the independent and largest democratic country in the world India.
Situated on both banks of the River Yamuna, Delhi is one of the modern and fastest growing cities. Transfer to the hotel. Breakfast. Afternoon sightseeing of New Delhi follows (included) - Emperor Humayun's Tomb, Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, Konaut Place, 7-metre high uncorroded iron pillar.
Tomb of Humayun - built by Haji Begum, the widow of the second Mughal Emperor Humayun Construction began nine years after his death and was completed in an eight year period.
It is an architectural monument with an imposing structure that has an octagonal shape, raised on a plinth with double domes and high arches.
Qutub Minar - a 73-meter-high victory tower started in 1193 by Qutub-ud-din Aibak, the first Muslim ruler.
He only managed to complete the first floor of sandstone.
His successor Iltutmish added a second and third floor of sandstone and later in 1368 Firoz Shah Tughlaq built a fourth and fifth floor of sandstone and marble.
You will see Delhi's most curious antique, the uncorroded iron pillar dating back to the 4th century, erected in honour of the god Vishnu.
Connaught Place - Delhi's most famous shopping and business centre, built in 1931. It consists of two concentric circles with colonial style buildings surrounded by a park with typical vegetation.

You will depart for Mandava.
After checking into your hotel you will have free time to explore Mandava.
The city was an important trading place for caravans passing through from China and the Middle East.
Today, it is popular for its havelis (mansions of rich merchants), similar to museums, of which you will visit (included in the price): the Binsidhar Newatia Haveli - famous for its interesting paintings; the Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli - famous for its erotic paintings and images mostly defaced nowadays.

You will depart for Bikaner, established by Maharaja Rao Bikha in the mid-15th century.
You will explore the magnificent Junagarh Fort built by Raja Rai Singh in 1478, a monumental masterpiece of architecture in Rajasthan.
"The 'Old Fort', as it is called, houses temples, mosques and 37 historic palaces representing the indescribable opulence in which the Maharajas lived.
All of this is surrounded by a 7-kilometre-high fort wall.
The Junagarh fortress subdues with its grandeur but has never been subdued by its enemies.
Later, you will visit the one of its kind camel research institute 8 km from Bikaner.
Here you can taste camel milk ice cream (included in the price).

Bikaner - Jodhpur Breakfast.
You will travel to the Imperial City of the Sun Jodhpur.
On the way, you will stop at Deshnok where the world famous Rat Temple is located.
This temple is 600 years old, built by the Bikaner King Ganga Singh and dedicated to the goddess Karni Mata.
The temple is adorned with silver decorations and marble stones.
The journey continues to Jodhpur, known as the 'White City', a bustling desert town and the second largest in Rajasthan.
Rao Jodha, a chieftain of the Rathore clan, founded the city in 1459 and it was named after him.
It was previously the seat of a princely state, also known as Marwar.

On this day you will explore the Mehrangarh Fort, rising 122 m on a cliff.
Inside it are some palaces known for their intricate carvings and extensive courtyards.
You'll visit Jaswant Thada, a kind of crematorium of Indian maharajas.
This architectural landmark is constructed of intricately carved maramoram sheets.
Later, you will visit the clock tower and Sadar Bazaar, which is one of the busiest markets in Jodhpur.
You will be able to wander through the small shops and narrow streets in the heart of the city (included).

You will experience the traditions and customs of tribal India.
Bishnoi is an Indian caste that follows a set of rules laid down by the revered saint Guru Jambheshwarji in 1485. Living in the Marwar region, he advocated a simple lifestyle surrounded by clean and green surroundings, free roaming animals and a faith without elaborate rituals.
The villages organized around these sets of rules are easily recognizable, and there you will learn many interesting facts about life and traditions in this area of India from the locals.

Jodhpur - Udaipur Breakfast.
You will depart for Udaipur, the "Venice of the East" - the city of lakes.
On the way, stop at Ranakpur, amidst the lush Aravali Valley, to visit one of the largest and most important Jain temples in the world.
The Ranakpur Jain Temple was built during the reign of the liberal monarch Rana Kumbha in the 15th century.
Upon arrival in Udaipur check in at the hotel.
The city is a wonderful mix of water and lush green hills.
Like a storybook, its palaces, lakes, forts, temples, gardens, mountains and narrow streets are reminders of a heroic past.
Their reflection in the calm waters of Lake Picciola is a ripple that unleashes the imagination.

In Udaipur, you will explore the City Palace over the ez.
Pichola, an intriguing collection of buildings created by various Maharanas (kings) after Uday Singh and built in 1725. The Sahelion ki Bari (Maids' Garden) is an ornamental garden built by Maharana Sangram Singh for his daughter and the ladies of the Queen's court.
Later, you will visit Jagdish Temple, an Indo-Aryan temple built in 1651 by Maharana Jagat Singh, the largest and most beautiful temple of Udaipur with remarkable sculpted images (included).
In the evening, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola (optional excursions package).
The beauty of the lake is enhanced by the surrounding hills, palaces, temples, bathing ghats and embankments.
Jag Niwas and Jag Mandir, the two island palaces look like pearls over the emerald water.

Also known as the Pink City, the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Rajasthan.
It was founded on November 18, 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber.
Jaipur is a major business centre - one of the best planned cities in India, located in the semi-desert lands of Rajasthan.
A demonstration of Indian food preparation techniques (Dinner Package) follows in the evening.
You will have a remarkable experience with culinary experts to create the dishes they love to eat at home.
Here you will be able to appreciate the cuisine of Rajasthan and enjoy all the best in Indian hospitality.

Hill forts have always been important to the rulers of Rajput.
Belonging to the Hindu "Kshatriya" or warrior class, they believed in the line from the holy book Purana that "the fortress is the strength of the king".
They built a number of such forts all over the state of Rajasthan.
Some were made for purely defensive purposes, but most were built as fortified palaces.
You will have the opportunity to visit Fort Amber - an elephant ride there (climb) and on the return, a jeep ride (optional excursions package).
Amber is one of the finest examples of a fortress palace.
It is similar in style to the surrounding ornate Mughal courts.
Inside the fort you should visit the Jagmandir or "Hall of Victory". It houses the famous Sheesh Mahal (the Mirror Palace). This is a room whose walls and ceiling are lined with shining mirror pieces imported from Belgium. In the afternoon you will visit the city's palace complex, a superb blend of Rajput and Mughal architectural styles. The seven-storey Chandra Mahal (Moon Palace) is a complex with numerous courtyards, public buildings, an astronomical observatory and Zenana Mahals (harems). Within the palace complex are several museums, including an interesting textile gallery with a fine selection of textiles and costumes from the royal collection. From the City Palace you enter the extraordinary Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory built by Raja Sawai Jai Singh II in 1827. Roughly translated, the name means "The Formula of Instruments".
It was one of the five observatories he built in North India.
The instruments, resembling massive futuristic structures, are extremely sophisticated instruments that are accurate even today.

A UNESCO World Heritage site, Fatehpur Sikri was temporarily the capital of the Mughal Empire under the great Emperor Akbar I. It was built in honour of St. Salim Chisti, who foretold the birth of Akbar's son and heir.
This ancient capital is built entirely of living red sandstone.
Architecturally it draws inspiration from Hindu, Persian and Islamic styles.
After sightseeing, head to Agra.
Late in the afternoon, you will visit Agra Fort (optional excursions package), built by three Mughal emperors, beginning with Akbar the Great in 1565. From the small octagonal tower of Agra Fort, one can get the most moving view of the Taj Mahal, which stands proudly across the Jamuna River.
It was here that Aurangzeb, the third son of Shah Jahan, kept his father under house arrest.
The old emperor spent the last years of his life looking at the tomb of his beloved.
Within the fort are a number of fine buildings: the Moti Masjid, Jahangir's Palace, Khaas Mahal and Sheesh Mahal, Diwane-i-Am, Diwane-i-Khas and Musamman Burj.
Opportunity to attend Mohabat Taj Show, a theatre and dance performance about the legend of Shah Jahan's undying love for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal (available on site).

Agra - Delhi Early in the morning (at dawn) you will visit the Taj Mahal (included), a stunning mausoleum that immortalises the name of Shah Jahan's last wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
Built by Indian and Islamic craftsmen, it has been aptly described by Nobel Prize-winning poet Rabindranath Tagore, as "A tear on the face of eternity".
Adorned with a mosaic of semi-precious stones and Persian calligraphy depicting verses from the Koran, the mausoleum is an important place of pilgrimage, as the Empress who died in childbirth became a martyr after this tragic event.
Prayers and passages from the Qur'an are continuously read for her in the mosque and the cenotaph chamber.
Due to this fact, every Friday the temple is closed.
After viewing the mausoleum, return to the hotel. Breakfast. Departure for Delhi.

Next is a tour of Old Delhi, formerly called Shahjehanabad (included).
The 300-year-old walled city was built by Shah Jehan as his capital.
You'll begin with a visit to Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi, also called the "Father of the Nation," was cremated in 1948. Special events are organized on each anniversary of his birth and death, and thousands of visitors come to celebrate.
You'll then pass the magnificent Red Fort (closed on Mondays), dating back to the Mughal rule.
Opposite it are the black and white dome and minarets of the Jama Masjid, the most elegant mosque in India.
You'll also visit Chandni Chowk (dating from 1648) Today, Old Delhi's main street Chandani Chowk is a colourful and crowded wholesale market where you'll have the opportunity to take a rickshaw ride (optional excursions package).

Later, you will be taken on a tour to New Delhi planned by Sir Edwin Lutyens.
You will pass by Rashtrapati Bhavan, the house where the President of India lived.
This architectural landmark has welcomed the most powerful men in history.
Rashtrapati Bhavan was also designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and was built in 1931 to be the focal point of British power in Delhi, and the Secretariat building the centre of government activity.
Down the impressive Rajpath Avenue (the main boulevard) line the World War I Memorial Arch, the Gateway of India, the Supreme Court Building and the Old Fort.
The Gateway of India, Sir Edwin Lutyens designed it as a war memorial for the 90,000 Indian soldiers who died on the northwest frontiers during World War I.
The Duke of Conant laid the foundation in 1921 and it was completed in 10 years.
