This island of flowers is world famous for its steep cliffs, verdant valleys, majestic mountains and superb wine.
Your new adventure is a wondrous world of volcanic rocks and raging elements.

Flight to Funchal Your guide will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel.
You will have free time during the day.
Overnight in the Canisso area.
Breakfast. You'll start with a half-day walking tour of the capital city of Fr.
Madeira - Funchal (included in the price).
You'll visit the city's Cathedral of the Assumption in Sé.
From here, you ascend to the Municipal Square where the Funchal City Hall is located.
A former 18th century palace with a courtyard decorated with Battistini tiles, and a fountain adorned with a marble statue of "Leda and the Swan".
There is a walk to the local market, Mercado dos Lavradores.
On the ground floor, you can admire baskets full of local vegetables and fruits, and upstairs on the 1st floor you will taste 5 different tropical fruits, then it's time for a quick look at the fish market.
You'll pass the bustling Rua Fernão de Ornelas and visit shops, cafes and the "Bordal" embroidery factory. Free time for lunch follows. Then you will visit the gardens of the official residence of the President of Madeira "Quinta Vigia", dating back to the 16th century (optional excursions package).
You will also admire the charming chapel of "Nossa Senhora das Angustias".
At the end of the flower extravaganza, there is a balcony from which you will enjoy a beautiful view of the picturesque port of Funchal.
Continue on foot to the next garden, "Parque Santa Catarina".
Here is the statue of Christopher Columbus, who passed by the island twice.
The last park of the day will be the famous Botanical Garden, above the city of Funchal.
Here a huge variety of endemic and imported plants can be found.
Overnight in the Canisso area.
Ribeiro Frio National Park - Fayal - Santana Breakfast.
Followed by a full day tour in Ribeiro Frio National Park (optional excursions package).
First you will climb to one of the highest peaks of the island, Pico Arieiro (1818 m).
You will be surprised by the spectacular view of the whole island.
In clear weather it is possible to see the windmills at Paul da Serra.
From here you will descend to the Laurissilva forest, in the Ribeiro Frio valley, where you will stop for a short walk to the beautiful "Balcões" area.
You will continue to the town of Fayal and the municipality of Santana, where you will visit the typical colourful triangular houses. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon you will pass by the Eagle Rock (Penha D'Águia).
In Porto da Cruz, a small seaside village, you will stop to visit the Engenho do Norte rum factory.
To finish the day with another beautiful view you will go to the eastern part of the island to Ponta S. Lourenço, where you can see both the north and south coasts with their amazing landscapes.

Cabo Girao Rock - Funchal Breakfast.
Free time or visit the Cabo Girao Rock (optional excursions package), a 580 m high sea cliff with a glass platform with a magnificent view of the sea.
You will then travel to Estreito de Câmara de Lobos, where your wine journey will begin (optional excursions package).
The island is world famous for its Madeira wine.
You will taste two different three-year-old wines at the Vinhos Barbeito factory and determine which is the better one.
You will also visit one of the oldest wine houses in Funchal, Blandy's Madeira Wine Lodges.
The tour starts with the museum of the same name and ends in a room called Max Roomer, where there will be a tasting of 2 types of wine.
In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity for an exciting 4x4 tour that will take you to different roads and amazing places with great views (available on site).
The route stretches from Câmara de Lobos - Estreito Câmara de Lobos - Jardim da Serra to Boca dos Namorados, where a panoramic platform offers breathtaking views of the Valley of the Nuns.

Monte Breakfast.
Followed by a half-day tour of the island's most spectacular sights (included).
The first one will be from the Pico dos Barcelos terrace (350 m).
It is located above Funchal and has been recently renovated.
Continue to Eira do Cerrado (1094 m) with beautiful panoramic views of the highest peaks of Madeira and the Valley of the Nuns "Curral das Freiras".
Here you will taste the local Ginja (cherry liqueur).
The next visit is Monte, the most famous suburb of Funchal, where tourism has been developing since the early 19th century.
After a short walk through the beautiful gardens of Monte, you will visit the Church of Our Lady of Monte.
You can try tobogganing (wicker sleigh) - one of the oldest means of transport on the island - along the 2 km down to Livramento (optional excursions package). Free time for lunch. Overnight in Canisso area.
Porto Moniz Breakfast.
Followed by an exciting full-day tour of the western part of the island, where you will see pools of extinct volcanic lava (optional excursions package).
The first stop will be at Câmara de Lobos - "Bay of the Sea Wolves".
This is the fishing village that inspired Winston Churchill's paintings.
You will have a short walk around to admire the street art decorations - usually made by children.
You'll continue along the south coast to Ribeira Brava, where you'll stop to visit the local market and San Bento Church.
Your next stop will be in Serra D'água to a local bar to taste the traditional drink "poncha" (rum, honey and lemon juice).
You will continue towards São Vicente, the capital of the north. Free time for lunch follows. The tour continues to Porto Moniz and along the way you will admire numerous waterfalls.
In Porto Moniz, you will visit natural swimming pools built into the lava rocks.
You'll also see Paul da Serra, a 1,500m high plateau. The day will end with Ponta do Sol, a beautiful and charming seaside village on the south coast.
Overnight in the Canisso area.
Free time or excursion Breakfast.
Followed by a half-day catamaran ride departing for the southwest coast of the island (available on site).
It is possible to watch dolphins, turtles or even whales, and in summer you can even go swimming.
Dinner at a traditional local restaurant with music and show.
You will have a culinary surprise - the typical Espetada (a skewer of marinated beef) of the area (Dinner Package).
