BONUS package MAXIMUM SECURITY
In the event of early termination of the contract at the initiative of the TRAVELER, the amount paid by him or on his behalf shall be refunded through the travel agent who concluded the travel package contract with the TRAVELER on behalf and at the expense of the tour operator, when the TRAVELER is unable to start and complete the trip due to any of the following reasons, which was unforeseeable at the time of conclusion of the travel package contract and occurred before the date of departure regardless of the will of the traveler:

The tour begins with a visit to Kairouan – the holiest place for Muslims in the Maghreb and the 4th holiest city for Islam. We’ll explore the Okba Mosque / Grand Mosque, built along with the city in 670 AD, and indulge in some shopping, then continue our tour of Kairouan with a visit to the city’s water reservoirs – built over 1000 years ago. We continue our route to El Jem , where the best preserved and third in the world amphitheatre is located. This is one of the most impressive monuments of world history and it served as the backdrop for the filming of the unforgettable Gladiator. In the evening we return to the hotel.

We begin our most memorable two-day journey in Tunisia, which will take us to the sands of the great Sahara- the largest sand sea in the world. There we will ride camels, admire the amazing landscapes in the oases with date palms, see how the troglodytes live – the people who have chosen for their existence underground caves in the desert instead of the comforts of the modern city, we will also find ourselves among the scenery of the mega-production “Star Wars”.
During the trip we will explore 2/3 of the country and learn about its history, traditions and customs.
On the first day:
Our route will take us to El Jem – where the best preserved and third in the world ( after Rome and Capua ) amphitheatre in North Africa is located. The Roman Coliseum has a diameter of 128 metres and a capacity for an impressive 35,000 spectators. The Colosseum was built in the 3rd century during the reign of the Roman Emperor Gordian I and has wonderful acoustics. This is one of the most impressive monuments of world history and it served as a backdrop for the filming of Ridley Scott’s unforgettable Gladiator. We will have the opportunity to step into the gladiatorial arena, be in the audience seats and even walk through the tunnels from which the wild animals emerged.
Today the amphitheatre is the venue for the annual Symphonic Music Festival, which replaces the gladiatorial battles, the roar of the beasts in the arena and the chants of the crowd.
We continue to Matmata, the most famous settlement of the indigenous Tunisians – In the 14th century, the Tunisian-born Arab scholar and historian Ibn Khaldun wrote that the Berbers were a powerful, brave and numerous people who had inhabited the Maghreb since time immemorial. The village of Matmata is perhaps the most undeniable example of man’s adaptability, his ability to turn the disadvantages of the natural environment into an advantage, his ability to make a home anywhere and in any conditions. We will have the unique opportunity to access the intimate space of the locals.
Matmata became particularly popular after part of the Star Wars trilogy was filmed here in the 1970s. Since then the tourist flow has not stopped. On these lands, Indiana Jones searches the surrounding caves for the missing cuvette. The desert near Matmata is also the romantic backdrop to The English Patient.

On the second day of the excursion in the Sahara, after an early breakfast, we head to the dried salt lake Shot El Jerid, known to the world for the incredible picture that is created at sunrise and for its unique mirages … According to legend, Fata Morgana was a fairy who lived on the seabed and lured travelers with ghostly visions. Of course there is a scientific explanation. According to the researchers, this is a complex optical phenomenon in which distant objects appear in a distorted way in the sky. The departure is very early so you can enjoy the unforgettable sunrise right in the middle of the lake.
We continue to Tozor – the only town – an oasis where all the desert winds have met and, despite their efforts, have not yet covered it with sand.
There are over 300,000 date palms in Tozor, from which high quality dates are produced under the brand “Deglet Hyp” (Fingers of Light), known worldwide. One of the most beautiful souvenirs in the world is mined here – the desert rose – crystallized sand in the shape of a flower, a piece of the desert to remember that will grab your heart.
What follows is an unforgettable jeep experience in the middle of the desert. Drivers drive at 80-100 km/h. through rugged terrain, ascending and descending 30 degree slopes on sand dunes of fine desert sand. They compete with each other and try to make us feel like participants in the Paris-Dakar Rally.
We will visit the extremely beautiful mountain oasis of Shebika – a precious jewel in the harsh desert, tucked in the middle and lit by the scorching rays of the sun, the oasis is also called the “Castle of the Sun”. You’ll have the opportunity to see water (cool and drinkable) springing up in the desert, forming a stream even with a small waterfall… a place where footage from the movie “The English Patient” was filmed.
Followed by a delicious lunch (drinks not included) in the Gafsa area.
After lunch we will visit Kairouan, the fourth holiest city for Muslims. . They say that if you don’t have the money to visit Mecca, Medina or Jerusalem , you should come to Kairouan / UNESCO at least 7 times in your life / Here we will see the largest and oldest mosque in Africa – the Okba- one of the masterpieces of Islamic architecture.
Besides being a holy city, Kairouan is famous for its hand-woven carpet production and its date cakes. The maiden of Kairouan has to weave a carpet herself before going under marriage.

Very close to the capital Tunis is Carthage itself – the pearl of the Mediterranean, bathed in the rays of glory and grandeur, where we will explore the ruins of one of the most famous cities of antiquity. It was founded, according to legend, by the Phoenician Queen Elissa (known as Dido), who managed to save herself and some of her wealth when the city of Tyre fell. The thermal baths of the Roman emperor Antoninus Pius and the amphitheatre of Hadrian are the best preserved from the Roman period in Carthage.
Explore the Roman Baths of Antoninus and the ruins of one of the most famous cities in antiquity, which originated as a Phoenician colony in 814 BC and ruled the western Mediterranean for centuries.
Visit the art town of Sidi Bou Said – Mediterranean inspiration in blue and white with the scent of jasmine /UNESCO/. They call the town the Tunisian Montmartre because the artist is the “master of art” there.
Free time to stroll through the picturesque streets to enjoy the atmosphere of an oriental café with hookah and a local specialty – herbal tea with mint leaves and cedar nuts, or citronada with fresh almonds or to buy souvenirs.

Friguia Park is a private zoo in Tunisia, opened on 11 November 2000 near the town of Buficha.
The Zoo of Phrygia is located between the towns of Enfida and Bufisha. It occupies an area of 360,000 square meters, in comparison the Moscow Zoo (the second largest zoo in Russia) occupies 220,000 square meters. In the zoo are represented 61 species of fauna of the African continent. In total, the zoo contains 420 animals.
Frigia Park is the first wildlife park in Tunisia where all animals are kept in relative freedom, allowing the natural instincts and social behaviour of the species represented to be preserved.
In addition to the animal enclosures at Frigia Park, you can see a sea lion show, a Zulu ethnic show, and in 2010, the first dolphinarium in Tunisia opened in the park.

Cape Bonn or the Bonn Peninsula is located at the northeastern tip of the African coast of Tunisia.

The excursion continues to Kerkuan (30 km)- The ruins of Punic Kerkuan have been declared a UNESCO monument. Today it is the best preserved remains of a Phoenician city on the territory of Tunisia. Sightseeing of the site, including the museum (entrance fee included).
