Itinerary

Sofia - Doha

Departure from Sofia airport at 12:40 pm for Doha on a Qatar Airlines flight.

Connecting flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Ho Chi Minh Arrival at 7:15 am at Ho Chi Minh airport. Welcome and transfer to the hotel.

Accommodation. Next is a guided tour of Ho Chi Minh City. Our first target today is the French-built Notre Dame Cathedral of 1877-83; we then head to the extremely beautiful Central Post Office building, again built by the French. We will pass the City Council buildings (Hotel De Ville) and the Old Opera House, built in classic European style. We continue to the Palace of Unification. This building from the 1960s, once the Independence Palace of the President of South Vietnam, was attacked by Vietnamese tanks in 1975, an event that is taken to be the fall and annexation of South Vietnam. The building has been preserved in its original form, as have the tanks that were once there, which can also be seen near the entrance to the Palace. A veritable abundance of clothes, souvenirs, fruits, food awaits us at Ben Thanh Market. For dinner we will offer you a really great experience - Korean BBQ. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Ho Chi Minh - Da Nang - Hoi An Breakfast at the hotel.

Release of rooms. Transfer to the airport for domestic flight to Da Nang. On the way explore Da Nang - one of the largest and most beautiful resort towns in Central Vietnam. Our final destination today is Hoi An. It is said to be one of the most charming cities of Vietnam today! It impresses with its authentic atmosphere - small streets, old merchant houses, beautiful bridges and temples, colorful markets offering unique porcelain, precious silk fabrics and Hoi An's trademark silk lanterns. We are about to see for ourselves and experience the extravaganza of colours, sophistication, and lights! Overnight in Hoi An.

Hoi An - Ba Na Hills - Hoi An After breakfast we head to Ba Na Hills resort in Central Vietnam where a wonderful bridge was built, which not by chance earned the name "In the Hands of God". It is 150 metres long and built at 1400 metres above sea level. The bridge itself is made of a gold-coloured alloy with the structure supported by five large cantilevers. The arms are actually made of neither stone nor concrete, although they look just like it. Their base is covered with a fine mesh of steel and then "dressed" in fiberglass. The 'stone' effect and the deliberate ageing of the appearance is created on the fibreglass. Curiously, this facility took only one year to build! An 8 km long lift will take us very high up, and with a second lift we will reach the Bridge! From there you can enjoy magnificent views of wild inaccessible nature, the Ba Na Hills resort and the city of Da Nang. Transfer back to Hoi An. The rest of the day is dedicated to this beautiful, historic town located south of Da Nang. It was one of the main ports of Southeast Asia in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Especially beautiful is the Japanese covered bridge - the first bridge at this location was built in 1593 by the Japanese community in Hoi An. An interesting landmark is the Phuoc Kien Cultural Centre - a Chinese pagoda built in 1690, restored and expanded in 1900. The temple is dedicated to Thien Hau Thanh Mau, goddess of the seas and guardian of sailors and fishermen. The most famous and preserved authentic house here is Tan Ky, which combines Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese architectural styles. A walk through Hoi An's picturesque markets and quaint streets around is also a real experience. Overnight in Hoi An.

Hoi An - Da Nang - Siem Reap Breakfast at the hotel in Hoi An. Check out at 12:00. Afternoon transfer to Da Nang airport for flight to Siem Reap. Expected flight K6 841 at 17:20. Arrival at 19:20. After obtaining Cambodian visa, transfer to hotel.

Overnight in Siem Reap.

Siem Reap - Angkor Thom - Ta Prom - Angkor Wat - Siem Reap Breakfast at the hotel. Full day packed sightseeing program c visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Bafoon, Elephant Terrace, Leper King Terrace and Pimean Akas. We will head to a famous observation deck which offers spectacular views of Ta Prohm Temple. Lunch at a local restaurant. Our afternoon program is dedicated to Cambodia's most famous temple, Angkor Wat. Whatever we have read about this largest religious monument in the world believe us it is not enough! Angkor Wat was built by the ruler of the Khmer Empire, Suryavarman II, in the early 12th century in the then capital Yasodharapura (present-day Angkor) as a state temple and future mausoleum of the monarch. Breaking with the Shivaistic tradition of previous rulers, Suryavarman dedicated the temple to the god Vishnu. The building is an example of the high classical style of Khmer architecture, and by design the temple was to symbolise Mount Meru. The temple is admired for the grandeur and harmony of its architecture, for its extensive bas-reliefs and the numerous devatas adorning its walls. The Angkor complex is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today, Angkor Wat is a symbol of Cambodia, is depicted on its national flag and is the country's most famous tourist attraction. We return to the hotel for a short rest, because tonight another surprise awaits us, namely the famous ASPARA dance show. Although briefly, we will get an up-close experience of the Khmer culture and beliefs.
